It’s the first permanent palette in the ABH line – which I love, since so many of the palettes I own from her were Limited Editions. Today I share with you a look I created using mainly this palette with a little pop of color on my lower lash line with ColourPop’s Flower Shop (from their Spring / Summer collection). I’ve been loving the combination of warm tones to create showstopping looks. Contrary to how it looks, this palette is much more than a pink toned palette like it seems. But, after getting my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, I’ve really been enjoying working with it and creating looks. I don’t use a lot of makeup during the summer time and lately I have found that I have really been enjoying a simple look – mascara and lip balm. The palette is versatile for daytime neutral looks and fun looks with pops of colour. All of the shades are wearable and I can see myself using every single shadow in the palette. I enjoy the mix of cool and warm tone metallics and appreciate the warm toned mattes for the crease. The shadows are long wearing with over 8 hours of wear. The pigmentation is amazing and I didn’t have any major issues with blending or fading. I love all the vibrant shades they’re perfect for spring and summer looks. I’m so happy I picked up the Riviera Eyeshadow Palette. Seychelles is one of my favourites but all the metallics are beautiful. Mediterranean is a unique shade that I don’t have in my collection. The metallics apply best with your fingers or a wet brush to give the least amount of fallout. The metallics are very soft and rich in texture. The most of the mattes are warm toned which are great for the crease/transition shades. I had to pat it on then diffuse with another colour. Cannes was a little difficult to blend and adhered to certain part the eyes more than others. I did have some staining with the shade Bahamas but it is a gorgeous vibrant pink. It swatched patchy but it applied good on the eyes. I wish Cabana had more of a mustard pigment it was a light mustard on my skin tone. Usually white shadows don’t show up on me but this one works great as a base to set my primer. I was surprised at the opaque finish of the shade Sails. Most of the mattes have a powdery texture that creates minimal fallout. The mattes were pigmented and blended well. Three of which are pressed pigments that promise a high colour payoff and intensity. The shadows include 8 ultra-mattes, 4 metallics and 2 duo chromes. The canvas material is a nice change from the velvet packaging that we’ve seen before. The eyeshadows are housed in a navy and white nautical striped palette with gold details.
